Your tasks

• Interior and exterior painting in private homes, hotels and businesses around Lake Tegernsee and in the south of Munich
• Preparing surfaces: cleaning, filling, repairing
• Wallpapering, lacquering doors and furniture, facade painting, wood protection on windows, doors and balconies
• Trowelled finishes for seamless bathrooms and floors, clay plaster, decorative plasters
• Special surfaces: metallic finishes, paints by Farrow & Ball
• Dry-ice blasting of exterior wood surfaces

Your profile

• Completed apprenticeship as a painter and decorator (m/f/d). Work experience is welcome, and you are just as welcome fresh from your final apprenticeship exam
• Confident working with plaster, filler, paint and lacquer
• Care, skill and a good eye for colour and surfaces
• A head for heights for work on scaffolding and lifting platforms
• Friendly with customers, as you will work in occupied homes and in hotels
• Category B driving licence an advantage

Your tasks

• Running sites: planning the workflow, organising materials, keeping to schedules
• Advising customers, on site and in the showroom in Gmund, measuring up and preparing quotes
• Leading your team and ensuring the quality of the work, from a coat of paint to a seamless bathroom
• Carrying out demanding surfaces yourself: trowelled finishes, clay plaster, metallic surfaces
• Guiding our apprentices

Your profile

• Master craftsman's certificate in the painting and decorating trade
• Experience running sites and working with demanding private clients
• A good eye for colour, surfaces and clean work
• Category B driving licence

What you will learn

• Paint, plaster, lacquer and wood: preparing surfaces, interior and exterior painting, wallpapering, lacquering
• Trowelled finishes, clay plaster and decorative plasters, as used in seamless bathrooms and high-end rooms
• Facades and wood surfaces, including dry-ice blasting
• Colour advice using the samples in the showroom in Gmund
• Three years alternating between the business, vocational college and the inter-company courses run by the guild. Specialism: design and maintenance
• Part 1 of the exam after the second year, final apprenticeship exam at the end

What you bring

• Basic school-leaving certificate (Hauptschulabschluss), that is all you need
• A taste for hands-on craft rather than screens: no days at a desk
• Reliability, skill and pride in clean work
• A good eye for colour, a head for heights on the ladder
• A work placement beforehand is possible if you want to try it out first

What we offer

• Guaranteed job after the apprenticeship
• Pay at least according to the collective agreement for the painting and decorating trade: 900 € in year 1, 985 € in year 2 and 1,150 € in year 3 (as of August 2026), plus 25 days of holiday
